Our Ramen Philosophy
Pompoko Ramen & Bar is inspired by our family roots in Japan, where a small, home-style restaurant has been serving simple, honest food for over 20 years. That spirit of warmth, tradition, and care continues here.
We believe food should be gentle — nourishing, balanced, and made with intention. Our cooking is guided by respect for natural ingredients,
minimal processing, and traditional techniques.We prepare our dishes the way we would at home: thoughtfully, without unnecessary additives, and with attention to every detail.
Our ramen is built on broths that take time and patience. We are constantly challenging ourselves to create a clear chicken broth with depth, purity, and balance — a bowl that is clean in appearance yet rich in umami.
Alongside this, we craft our signature broth from dried fish,
kombu, dried shiitake mushrooms, and a variety of vegetables,
slowly extracted over 36 hours.
We also take pride in our vegetarian ramen, made with kombu, beans,
house-dried mushrooms, and seasonal vegetables.
The result is a broth that is light yet deeply satisfying — clean, refined,
and gentle on the body.
Alongside our food, we offer a carefully selected range of sake, wine,
Japanese Jin and Wisky
Japanese beer — chosen to complement the flavours of our dishes and enhance the overall dining experience.
